In The October 13 issue

Town turkeys run out of town!
The La Conner Town Council decided that all the turkeys must leave! The turkey detractors outnumbered the turkey fans at Tuesday's meeting.
Presently the turkey population stands at 12, including 5 poults that hatched over the summer. The council promised the residents the birds will be gone within 30 days.

JV Football Monday night

Braves 8. Concrete Lions 36.
The JV Braves played very well in the second half of the game and kept Concrete, which made 5 touchdowns in the first half, from pulling farther ahead in the second half.
Also, the Braves denied Concrete the extra point when they tried to kick the ball through the goal after each play. (It's just too bad the Braves had to get so much practice blocking the kicks.)
